Dr. Adriana Salles, born in Brazil, is fluent in both Portuguese and English and can also understand Spanish. She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Santo Amaro in 1995 and went on to complete her Masters in Pediatric Dentistry at the SOSP in 2001, Sao Paulo city, Brazil.
Dr. Salles is a member of the Manitoba Dental Association and was full time assistant professor at the University of Manitoba from 2009 to 2015.
She arrived in Canada 7 years ago and spent 8 months in Norway House to working with the children in the community. After that she was transferred to Winnipeg and became the clinical coordinator of the undergrad program, pediatric division and she has worked with both grad and undergrad students, she works with medically compromised kids at children’s hospital and supervises students at the Smile Plus Clinic, which is a program at the University of Manitoba for low income families.
She is board certified, fellow of the Royal College of Dentist of Canada, Pediatric Division (FRCDC) and a member of American Association of Pediatric Dentistry.
Her hobbies include reading, travelling, and Yoga. She lives in Winnipeg with her husband Alvaro and two young kids. She loves to spend her free time with her family.
Recently a new member was added to the family, a labrador retriever called Thor.
