Dr. Mel McManus completed his dental school training in 2000 at the University of Manitoba.
He completed a one-year dental residency in 2001 at the children’s hospital at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, where he provided care for children with a wide range of needs.
His enjoyment of working with children led him to spend the next two years attending the University of Minnesota to become a pediatric dentist. > Learn More
Dr. Wong grew up in Vancouver, and is an alumna of the University of British Columbia, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees in 1996 and 2000, respectively.
Inspired by several of her own instructors in dental school, she began teaching as a part-time clinical instructor at the UBC Faculty of Dentistry in 2003, and then continued her teaching in Winnipeg, at the University of Manitoba’s dental school as well as at Red River Community College. > Learn More
Dr. Dobbs received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He practiced general dentistry for two and a half years before completing his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Manitoba and the Children's Hospital of Winnipeg.
He has served on various committees of the Manitoba Dental Association (MDA) and was president of the MDA in 1994.
Dr. Dobbs is a specialist member of the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and member of the Winnipeg Dental Society. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentist and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Dobbs enjoys part time teaching at the Faculty of Dentistry, amateur theatre and hiking.
Dr. Gamboa was born in sunny Mexico city and moved to Canada 14 years ago. She completed her Pediatric Dental training in Mexico city where she had the opportunity to devote herself to children with special needs at the Mexico Children’s Hospital where she completed her Masters in Pediatric Dentistry.
She is a member of the Manitoba Dental Association a board certified Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and member of the Canadian Academy of Peditaric Dentistry.
In her spare time she loves doing crafts, baking and watching kids movies. She has a dog called Spicy which she tries to take for walks everyday. > Learn More
Dr. Segstro is the medical director at Concord Surgical Suite. He holds a Honours degree in Physics and an undergraduate medical degree (MD) from the University of Manitoba.
His fellowship Anesthesiology training was at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Manitoba and has been practising Anesthesia in Winnipeg since 1992.
He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Manitoba > Learn More
Dr. Amir completed her dental training in Karachi, Pakistan in 2006, graduating with honours. During her residency in a tertiary care center in the diverse city of Karachi, she had the opportunity to work with children and special needs patients, which developed her interest in pediatric dentistry.
She completed her pediatric dentistry training from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and is a board certified Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. > Learn More
