Dr. Amir completed her dental training in Karachi, Pakistan in 2006, graduating with honours. During her residency in a tertiary care center in the diverse city of Karachi, she had the opportunity to work with children and special needs patients, which developed her interest in pediatric dentistry. She later joined a private dental practice, but continued to involve her self in humanitarian efforts all over Pakistan including missions to refugee camps and aiding victims of earthquakes and flooding.
She moved to Canada in 2012 and completed a Masters in Craniofacial Sciences degree from McGill University in 2014. She completed her pediatric dentistry training from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and is a board certified Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
She has been married for 11 years and has two boys age 7 and 10. In her leisure time, she loves to travel, read, cook and watch movies with her husband and children.
